    Asus GTX680-DC2T-2GD5 VBIOS Question

I would really like to take advantage of faster booting in Windows 8 and/or secure boot with my 680 unfortunately I need the VBIOS to support UEFI GOP. Does anyone have any idea as to this VBIOS ever being updated to support this?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Does your motherboard officially support 'Windows 8 Fast Boot'? Just because it is UEFI based it does not mean you will be able to take advantage of this Windows 8 feature.

I have an Asrock Extreme 4 Z77 board which does in fact support this feature. However when I try to make use of it I get an error informing me that my video card (GTX680-DC2T-2GD5) does not. I have read several other places on the web that other manufacturers are able to provide this functionality through an update to the card specific VBIOS. I was hoping Asus might be able to do the same or perhaps someone on the forums could point me in the right direction for doing this myself.

And a moderately high level explanation of what is needed (it was written by someone at AMD but the information should pertain to nVidia cards as well):
