    problems with crossfire setup...

I'm having a problem with a crossfire setup using two HD 7970 on the Gene-Z. The setup is not stable / crashes randomly.
When I'm running a single 7970 I have no problems and the same cf setup on a ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution (with the same PSUs and settings, RAM, CPU, etc) runs without any problems as well. Are there any settings / voltages (VCCSA/IO) that have to be adjustet if running a crossfire (SLI) setup?

I'm using the two PCIe_X16 slots - no changes on the PCIe bus (default) - using bios 0902

VCore Over-Current Protection: Increases the power threshold before over-current protection limits power (either by shut-off or throttling). We set this to 140% for all overclocking (processor cooling permitting).
What actually happen When we set VCore Over Current Protection to 140%. Can you plz explain that in laymen Language i mean in simple words.

    First Time to OC

    Hi

i know i am light years behind .. but here is the situation

i built my system in 2011 which cost me fortune ( system mentioned in the signature )... i used the system for about 6 month then i had to travel abroad for a scholarship ... now i am back again ... and the system which cost me a lot now worth nothing ... anyway i wanted to enjoy it before heading to upgrade and built a new one

so i wanna squeeze every bit of performance i can dig out of it by OCing the CPU, GPU and RAM

so can anyone out there walk me through step by step what i need to do to get the most out of that system ?!

ps. i recently dusted out the case and cleaned every bit of hardware ..and changed the thermal paste with new one (Arctic MX4)...

    additional info if required :

room temperature here is about 25 C degrees in the summer with the AC on can reach to 21 C....

case ventilation is quite good : top of the case two 20cm fans the one in front is intake ... the one in the back is outtake ... in the front of the case there is one 20 cm fan intake at the bottom ... and one 14cm intake at the top.... at the side ... a 20cm fan intake .... and at the back of the case at the top there is the 12cm radiator outtake fan for the Antec Kuler H2O 620.... and since the the ASUS Maxumus IV Gene-Z is small ATX form ..there is a lot of space inside ... and i'm using only one GPU the (gigabyte GTX470 OC) and i sold the other one... i know this model heats up like hell !!

the GPU is running on the stock single fan

thanks for advance if anyone can help

i'll need your help to assemble the new system soon .... hopefully
