ROG Formula X Event Recap! NOT 56k friendly!!
First off, I would like to thank our Platinum Sponsors: Intel and Nvidia, our sponsors: Antec, Coolermaster, Corsair, CPU, Kingston, Patriot, and Razer for the hardware, along with HIWA, Capcom, Madcatz, and Logitech for the side support! I want to thank all of the overclockers and case modders for spending time and coming out to the event.
So here is a recap of the event! Our goal for this event was to have fun. Bench on any platform and benchmark you want. Setting your own goals was key. If you were able to break into the top 10 global records or #1 hardware record, you received a bonus prize! Case modders were ranked top 3 and the other 4 were raffled a box of goodies.
The layout and power draw was not my original design, but we worked around the problem and in the end, still had a very successful event.
Be sure to watch the Live stream recordings in the formula x thread: http://www.asusrog.com/forums/showth...-ROG-FORMULA-X
Welcome to Formula X:
All of the vendors did an awesome job showing off their hottest products and tons of swag!
Vendors also had a chance to talk on stage on their latest technologies!
There was a good amount of traffic throughout the day. Coolermaster and Kingston really knew how to draw in the crowd!

Capcom was kind enough to let us demo the new unreleased Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, and Madcatz let us use their SF4 fight sticks! We also demoed Dirt3. We decided to allow users to play games when under extreme cooling. we were seeing about 180FPS on dirt 3 on a single GTX580 DC2.
We also had a race to build contest for users that can put together a system the quickest and a Bios workshop from JJ. We teach you how to overclock!
The folks from Gigabyte decided to stop by and mingle with overclockers, case modders, and vendors. Don't mind if they need some inspiration from ASUS.

Some random photos from the event
lastly, i would like to thank Logitech for supporting us with C910 cameras so that we can broadcast a live stream which can be viewed here: http://www.asusrog.com/forums/showth...-ROG-FORMULA-X
Note - its laggy because we streamed off of one 4g mifi from spring and it sucks! need to clearly look for a faster connection next time around.
