I will try to have a look at this this week.

Could you please post your exact system spec and ThunderFX software version you're using. Thanks.

    thanks!!!

my system specs are in my signature, i use only software/drivers that are from the maximus v formula thunder fx download page, that includes thunderfx drivers/software

at the moment - after my re-installation last sunday - i have only the thunderfx drivers installed and not the thunderfx graphical user interface ... i achieved this by not using any of the setup exe files fromt he asus downloads but let windows update drivers or search for drivers using device manager and pointed them to the download folder ... in case of the thunderfx drivers i thought the user interface (rog thunderfx.exe) would be installed along with the drivers automatically but it didn't ...

so i have the thunderfx running at the moment but without the rog thunderfx.exe

i am 99% sure if i install the whole thunderfx package so that i have the user interface of it too - which means rog thunderfx.exe - i will see the 6 GB memory problem too

if you need anything else - which i doubt because it would make no sense - let me know ... but as i said, the system specs are in my signature and i have only the drivers from the asus downloadpage for my mainboard ...

To just satisfy the 1%, can you remove the device from system properties, restart and install it from the .exe and see if it still happens? Thanks.

I've sent this concern to our TFX team to see if they can replicate the issue, but I don't see it on the one I have here sorry.

Sorry phlebiac, didnt mean to go awol on you. Real world family-type problems got in the way of my tech obsession! I must tell you that I love it when people just chime in to threads like this one just to make incredibly condescending, mush-brained comments about how they learned long ago to be perfect in every way and never require any assistance or feedback from anyone... ever... no really... not once even! When I read comments such as some of the ones inflicted upon our poor innocent thread here, I find myself picturing a seriously overweight, antsy, poster child for female repellant sitting in his mom's basement, frantically trying to convince the world that he actually matters by posting obnoxious comments in forums.
On a far more positive note: I notice that you were able to draw some positive attention from people who may actually be able to help us! I would like to thank them, and to congratulate you phlebiac! Your hard work in trying to alert people to this issue might finally be about to pay off! Well done brother!

I'm not using an M5F but I am still using a Z77 system with Win 7 64-bit but it shouldn't really matter as it's just a USB peripheral. Mine here only uses 26MB of memory.

as long as i don't see a screenshot showing your rog thunderfx.exe memory commit kb value in the resource monitor i can't be sure we are really talking about the same

using which download site (please give specific url) you got the thunderfx driver/software package from?
