I agree
I can't see that any proprietary secrets would be revealed with a little more information about the updates. It sounds like a sorry excuse to me.

Agree. I recently get trouble because that, i know some new bios have Hpet implementation to my motherboard but it dont say which Bios give that option, i installled the last one available on site and now i discovered the Hpet is only in another bios 1802.
Lack of information cheating the users.

+1 Absolutely. It's just a common sense issue... very simple and helpful to understand/resolve issues. Information is not something we are ever going to need less of when it comes to something like this.

Agree 100%, I'm always reluctant to upgrade the BIOS without a good reason and a detailed changelog would be helpful.
Whoever said,Crosshair and AMD = Cheap and low performance = Silly stupid statement = Flaming. We owe our existence to the scum of the earth, Cyanobacteria

+1, would be great
Besides that, anyone knows what changed in the latest PRIME Z370-A BIOS? I had a problem with an USB card, but I don't know if the update is worth it.

yes please,
menaquinone - I want more details too, of what's changed in the new BIOS firmwares.
For example, there was no mention of a backup bios having been added into version 1406 . That is, the entire 2MB(iirc) BIOS was duplicated inside, which makes me believe they've added a feature for us to be able to completely restore(re-flash) the original BIOS.
went from version 1002:
Version 1002 2018/07/06 8.76 MBytes
PRIME Z370-A BIOS 1002
1.Improve system performance.
2.Supports Intel next gen processor.
Version 1406 2018/09/19 10.12 MBytes
PRIME Z370-A BIOS 1406
1. Improve system performance
Thanks.Last edited by menaquinone; 06-10-2020 at 05:27 PM. Reason: restore aka reflash, not settings restore
