G50-VT CPU Upgrade?

My G50 currently has a 2.1 Ghz Core 2 Duo. I was reading the spec sheet on the Asus website and saw that some G50's shipped out with the Intel T9600 Core 2 Duo @ 2.8 Ghz.

Will the T9600 work in my laptop?
What is the absolute fastest Core 2 Duo cpu that will work?
Will Direct Console be able to overclock a newer cpu that I drop into it?

theoretically it should work but i have not officially tested it so i cant confirm. primarily due to the bios. if the chipsets are identical it should work. remember that ASUS notebooks were designed as a barebone in mind so its easy to upgrade and so you should be able to make it work.
