Hello I am in the market for a new build and the Maximus V EXTREME is the only board i see at the frys in my area however I am unable to figure out if it has a TPM or not I know that the formula has the option but since the extreme is a higher end board I was wondering if its already built in? Yes i know encryption slows things down but I really like my data drive NOT game drive encrypted.

Welcome to the Republic of Gamers forums, z3razerviper.

The MVE is indeed a higher end board but one that is more oriented to overclockers. As a result, it does not have TPM support. That is one feature that you'll find on the MVF.

Maximus V formula motherboard supported the TPM module, this module was already built in
Because Formula and Extreme version are different design,so Extreme version doesn't supported TPM
But you can reference this information:

Is a m.2 tpm card an option? It will fit on the other side of the board that supports the m.2 wifi module.
