Card not detected correctly HELP!

Can some one help iam trying to install AMD drivers on a fresh windows 7 64bit install and the AMD driver doesnt detect my ASUS 7970.

Windows devices show it has a Generic VGA ?

Please Help.

are u using latest drivers (13.1 or 13.2 beta) and installed the directx pack and (if desired) the directx 11.1 enable for win 7 from the ms website and .net 4 first?

and if all else fails u can go to device manager, and manually force "standard VGA" to take the 7970 drivers from the C:\AMD\Support\-insert catalyst package here-\Bin64 folder, once that is done u should be able to restart the computer and rerun the catalyst installer

.net and All my Mavimus V gene software is updated, ive used that method of manual forcing the driver install and it now detects the 7900 but the catalist still doesnt install see the grafic card afterwards and doesnt compleat the install.

Now what do i do ?
