New Topic because I dont want to go off topic on nr 1 about watercooling.

Hey,

I would like to have some advice about case I should buy for me PC parts because the one i have now is too small to make watercooling for Mainboard and processor (OC precessor). = there is no place for 280 rad on top + very small space for 2x GPU (Asus gtx 660 ti)

I need black + (red if possible). Max I can spend is £130 (uk pounds)

Is there better case then this one?:







My components:

  • Mainboard (MB): Asus MAXIMUS V FORMULA
  • Power Supply (PSU): AEROCOOL STRIKE-X 1100W
  • Case: Aerocool Strike-X Advance Midi Tower - NEED TO SELL IT
  • Solid State Drive (SSD): Samsung 120GB 840 Series SATA 6Gb/s SATA III
  • Processor (CPU): Intel Core i5 3570K
  • x2 Graphic Card: (GPU): 2GB Asus GTX 660 Ti DirectCU II OC, 28nm, 6008MHz GDDR5, GPU 967MHz, Boost 1058MHz
  • RAM: Corsair DDR3 Dominator Platinum 8GB
  • Hard Drive (HDD): dont have

Motherboard - Crosshair V Formula-Z
CPU - AMD FX-8350 ( OC'd @ 4.5GHz)
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master V8
GPU - Sapphire Vapor-X HD 7970 GHz Edition 6GB
RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws Z DDR3 (2x4GB) @ 2400MHz (using XMP #1)
PSU - Cooler Master SilentPower Gold 800
HDD - WD 150GB Raptor & WD 1TB Caviar Green
OS - Win. 7 Ultimate 64 bit

If I need to choose between HAF X , CM Storm Trooper (or - CM Storm Stryker White)

Then CS Storm Trooper will be nice looking case but big as hell! :DDDD

btw HAF X case looks bad. I dont like it 🙂

how about the: NZXT Switch 810 Big Tower ( close to the same as the phantom 820 )

i use 1 360 rad top and 1 240 rad bottom. all in push pull config.
look in the build tread "overkill"

I dont know what to buy now... They are both awesome cases.

the 820 is an upgraded version of the 810 switch and 810 phantom in to one in a way.
and these cases are big towers.

Yea I like this case too...

NZXT Switch 810 was simple design and I didnt really want a flat shape but NZXT 820 looks good but is so expensive...

the 810 phantom looks like the 820 but not the same on the inside, youtube it and see or google pics of it.
krindor have a 810 phantom case.
