Too bad that there is no more "Soviet"... - now you have to OC the CPU in Russia too...

I did some Firestrike benches with two cards in Catalyst activated but the Video-card switch (under the resetbutton) were still on trifire. The scores were much lower in comparison with only two switches (2CF) activated. It's a bit strange isn't it?

Ah, so! So, you still had three cards, just tricked the software... three cards but only two of them in CF...

Do not ever joke with Mother Soviet Russia! You cannot even imagine what consequences could happen!

    BTW
Toby, you're doing well my friend, but I really hope that my tips that I've posted few pages behind could help you to get some more points)

Also which VGAs (I mean the certain model since Sapphire have around 6 different 7970 cards) and cooling do you have? And did you have searched for a max freq for each card?

I did the bench not with three cards but with two! Next weekend i will follow your advice in order to get a higher score!

Thnx... The max freq for the cards is 1255/1810. That's a little higher but i think there is more room for sliding the memory a bit further. On which voltage's do you run your cards at max (clocks and voltages)?

Toby, I was asking about max freq of each card. You actually have to test every of your VGA's separately to find the strongest and use it as a main. That will allow other cards to run a bit higher without crashing the system.

Since I have preference cards, I use highest available voltage - 1.3 for GPU and 1.7 for Mem.

BTW I'm sure you noticed ambient temp on my submission)

Yes i did! It is freezing outside (-7C) and with my window open the temps of the GPU's (full load) are not above 69C. The GPU voltages on 1260/1815) are (1,283/1,693). Not bad at all... Inside the desktop it's like a hurricane on 8C. A good jacket is a must behind the desktop when benching. Yes i'm quit an idiot to do so but i like it! Next week i will try to find the max freq of each card separately and find a stable freq for the CPU with 125 Strap!!

I just followed the advice of DM and the results were good!

I guess that max stable freq for CPU doesn't depends on strap. So if you can run 5100 with 1.55v on 100MHz strap you probably can do so with 125MHz. IMO the best way would be 127.5MHZ BCLK and x40 mult. It would allow you to stay pretty close to 2400MHz at Mem.

Sometimes it's better to go outside instead of letting "outside" inside your place
I use my balcony as a benchmarking grounds.
My VGA's are pretty much secretive to a temperature. 10 degrees difference of ambient temperature gives me 400 more points)
Also use remaining voltage range. (I mean set max voltages for GPU and VGA mem and look how far can you get)
