Touchpad needs to be reset with USB mouse attached every reboot

Hi,
iI have the touchpad software set to disable the touchpad when ever a USB mouse is plugged in (which is always for me) and after every reboot I have to go in and uncheck the option, hit apply then check the option again and hit apply to get the touchpad to disable.

The touchpad software says Sentelic Version 9.1.3.5 I went to the sentelic website thinking maybe they've got an update to the software/drivers that would fix this but failed to find anything for the end consumer on their website.

Any insight into this problem would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try installing the Sentelic 9.1.7.7 driver, obtained from the ASUS website, to resolve your touchpad disable issue. See http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?13982-G74SX-Sentelic-Trackpad&p=99754&viewfull=1#post197748 for more information.

Thanks tried that and the setup program tells me that "this driver version is inapplicable for this touchpad" Maybe because I've updgraded to Windows 8 . So I guess I'm stuck having to disable the touchpad every time that I reboot.

@zld0423 discusses how to install the Sentelic driver to Windows 8 through Device Manager in http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?23359-Finally-took-the-Win8-plunge.
