I go blind in here with all the 1155 and 2011...

Was inside the case for a fan swap, and took a couple of photos of my pride..

Its a great board, and is fitted with DDR3

P5E3 Deluxe LGA 775

Bios> 1502

I have tried many Q series cpus on this board, and i have found my favorite.. its the Q6600

I use it as my every day computer (Base Camp computer).. BC

Is it slow..... Not.. Cant tell the difference from R4E, in normal internet/windows environment.

the cooler is a tad weak, but idle temp are 36-37c.. so it works.. But dont allow further overclocking.

But i dont know what that little remote/receiver is (included in the box), or what its meant to be doing?

Anyone know?

Pretty. 🙂 I've seen some coolers like that, and they are .
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

I'll have to drag out some photos of my Harry Potter build (its ugly and scarred and lives under the stairs 😉 )

Asus P5E
Intel E6850 @ 3.2Ghz cooled with a Noctua NH-C14 (one fan)
Kingston HyperX 4x1Gb @ 1066Mhz
MSI HD5450 (needed something for a graphics interface, and I am actually very surprised by its performance, no problems with MW3, doesn't like BF3 though lol)

I just use it for a spare when my main rig is in pieces, its either folding, downloading or being used as a spare.

Folding at 100% CPU it doesn't go over 42° 🙂

Ordered a new cooler today...

One of the few out there with a decent mounting bracket ...

Damn 90% of the heavy duty coolers, got the same tacky mechanism, same as 20 years ago.. %/&

Really need a new cooler..

And it will be good, when i upgrade board.. i am keeping one machine air cooled

So here is Harry Potter

Case: Advance (not sure which one and heavily cut about)
Mobo: Asus P5E
CPU: Intel E6850 @ 3.2Ghz (maybe more when I get around to it)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-C14 (using only 1 fan)
Ram: Kingston HyperX 4 x 1Gb @ 1066Mhz
GPU: MSI HD 5450 passively cooled
PSU: Corsair HX750 (over 5 years old so I should imagine that I'm getting less than 600W with it)
HD: Samsung Spinpoint 250Gb

Cable management is not possible with this case, normally the PSU should be top front (wouldn't fit) so is now bottom front on its side, HD and bays taken out for that, HD bays riveted back in above the PSU
Side panel already had 1 round hole, I cut a second hole (square) for the PSU intake. Household aluminium vent covers riveted to side panel.

Yes I know, I need lots more practice with a Dremel before attacking my main rig lol

Case isn't wonky, its my camera lens that did that.

And a little "dusty" close up to finish 😉
