question about ares ii water blocks

So i have an ares ii on order and i want to get rid of the water pumps on it currently so that I can hook it up to the rest of my cooling loop that it would so love 🙂 Now the question I have is will a standard universal gpu waterblock that fits a 5970 work on this? I would like to keep the whole fan/heatsink assembly on it I am just trying to find a way to hook it all up without spending a lot of extra money on blocks that may or may not work. Any info from the techs would be greatly appreciated.

If I could afford to buy one, I would leave the water blocks on it, I'm sure (after some pics that I have seen) that it would be possible to put a thread in the blocks to screw in a standard 1/4 inch fitting. (leaving the tube that runs between the 2 blocks alone)
All you would need to do after that, is hook it up to a bigger rad because the pump is in the block as far as I can tell.

should be good on the rads

I think the best thing you might do is to take the blocks apart and remove the impellers from the blocks, because they would really em pare the coolant flow with the impellers in place

Hey ya i never thought of that! Good idea! I really hate to cut the hoses to disconnect the radiator though i would like to be able to revert it back to stock condition because i will probably hold on to it for my own collector purposes after something bigger/better comes out.... maybe i will get lucky and there will be a way to hook up some regular tubing.
