external soundcard for Asus G75VW

Hello,

Due to the known quality issue with the internal VIA-soundcard I was wondering if I can improve the sound by connectding an external USB soundcard from Creative Labs.

Someone has experiences with this? Does the sound quality improve a lot?

I picked up a USB Soundblaster X-FI Pro for my G75 to get Dolby Digital for my Astro A50 surround sound set and couldnt be happier. I do a lot of music work as well for one of my buddies who dj's and it sounds great hooked up to my sound system. Asus makes a usb sound card called the xonar u3. I think it works great for the under $50 range. Theres a thread about it here somewhere.

I got a Logitech H800 Bluetooth and Wifi headset w/mic. Awesome!!!
