I have just got the Corsair SP2500 speakers and I think they look really good but I am using them with the included AUX cable connected to my on board soundcard with my R4E3.

What would be a good card to get? I am thinking about the Phoebus but not sure if its the best choice and will work well with these speakers? Will the included control box be a wasted investment as the SP2500 has a remote to maybe a less expensive Xonar will be sufficient?

Also, I currently have Vengeance 2000 wireless headphones for my FPS games and I am thinking that if I am investing in a good soundcard with headphone jack speakers then should I not invest in better headphones too and if so which ones?

I do like my vengeance 2000 but its a USB soundcard so will a wired headset perform much better?
