No clue mate, there isn't even a mention of where they're starting...most likely x79, maybe they'll start with Z77...who knows, will have to see next month when CEBit comes round I suppose.

LOL. It would be funnier if people bought that package just for the helicopter and throw away the motherboard.

But, getting back to the topic: I think also that other companies releasing new mobos is a good thing... that will make Asus to come up with new cool stuff too...

All the computers I builds for my customers are with MSI motheboard, first for the RMA; the distributors (DAIWA) who sell me the MSI board is also the RMA center in Canada, so very , very usefull for me. Also Asus simply don't make the cut, too expensive less feature, as example the Z77A-GD55, $ 129 at Amazon. Also all the new MSI Board come with Command Control, from any of your phones you can do basically the same thing as ROG direct and even more as you can use It also for control Media Center. It uses the WIFI of the Router for the phone. Click Bios, in the OS you can make change in your BIOS’ the interface is practically the same as the BIOS.

I can afford Asus ROG boards, my customers don’t like to spend that much and if you ask me Asus don’t have interesting boards under $ 200 MSI is getting very popular and Asrock even more.

Well, for a helicopter like that I should mount some protective guard around my TestBench... or build/finish my regular case project...

Yeah, the new Ashrock X79 mobo has a very nice feature... it is capable of 4 way SLI/CF with 16x on all PCIe slots... - if Asus will come out with a similar thing, I'm the first buyer of it!

~laughs~ if the rumors floating around are true, ArseRock(as MarshallR so eloquently calls them) will become part of ASUS...that is, if ASUS buys them out.

The others might be good products.

But they are not, and never will be RoG products.
