Asus jacks up pricing of Crosshairs V Formula Z
Asus has jacked up pricing of the Crosshairs V Formula Z motherboard for months the price was $229.95 at New egg now its $50 more. The same is true o n other sites. The price has exploded. This is a total ripoff and people should barrage Asus with emails telling them off for treating their customers in this way. They are being rapaciously greedy and need to be punished for it.

I already have a Crosshir V . The Z version has one very significant improvement: 8+2+2 phase control. That little expansion in phase control can make a difference in over clocking ability. Better voltage and temp control is essential to extreme overclocking. There is no justification for raising the product price
from its introductory price of 229.99. If anything the price should be slightly lower as happens for most motherboards several months after product introduction.

i don't think it asus that's doing the price raising its the retailers that's doing it because of supply in demand and asus isn't making the boards fast enough.

if amd stops making the x86 desktop processor a lot of am3+ or am4 board will sky rocket in price.

Agreed. Basic economis. The law of supply and demand rules supreme.
Both production interuption from the two week shut down and the dicontinuing of the straight formula
are rearing their ugly heads .. maybe.c.

That is not happening. AMD is releasing a refresh of Vishera in the summer and Is committed to Steamroller in 2014.

Distributors don't have them in stock , this is why Egg and others rise the price , look at the stock of NCIX, only 3 left in 2 of their stores, no one in their warehouse and no one in the suplier warehouse.
