    GTX 670M Overclock Questions

    Hey Guys/Girls

    I have a few questions about overclocking:

    1: Does it damage overclocking? i have overclocked my GPU from :

    Core Clock Mhz: 620---->740
    Memory clock MHz:1500-->1690

    Temp: around 69 Degrees.

    If i put more MHZ i get strange flickering's

    2.I can overclock Shader memory does that have good FPS effect? Of what is the best settings for Best FPS winning?

    3.Can you explain what core clock does and memory clock and shaderclock?

    I have a little post in my signature for OC.

    Please do consider that OC is driver related as well. I had an old driver then, results mat be different now.

    I think you should be fine at 70°C if that is your max temp.

    Also OC only if you need so.

    And final advice, if you game, then game. Don't cool down the GPU a lot of times, from my experience it's bad for the GPU. I know not everyone feels the same, so take this just from me.

    1) Overclocking will not damage unless it gets too hot (80+) or you are Overclocking too high and you can see visual anomalies (artefacts)

    2) The memory clock does not give a huge fps boost.. 1650-1700 is recomended as the higher tier. Anything higher than that usually will give you alot of artefacts, which is bad..

    3) Dont worry about all the clocks lol. Core clock is main clock and memory clock is the supporting clock speed.

    I have been playing crysis with 760/1700 recently lol ! Highest ive every been yet..
