OK I need some help.

So this is my 2nd CVFZ board (first was RMA'd a month ago). Everything was working fine but now for some reason if I cold boot or reboot I get this...
----------------------------------------------------------------
Asus Boot - Loader V1.0

FreeDos Kernal Ver 1.1.35w (Bld 2.35W-Unstable, 11-30-2005)

Kernal Compatability 7.10 -WATCOMC -FAT32SUPPORT

C: HD1, Pri (1), CHS= 0-1-1, START= 0MB Size = 31MB

BAD OR MISSING COMMAND INTERUPTER
ENTER THE FULL SHELL COMMAND LINE
COMMAND.COM 1P IE:256
--------------------------------------------------------------

If I hit the rest button again it hangs then I get a line saying "Memory OK succesfull". I then have to enter BIOS and hit F10 to proceed. I can put it into standby with no problems and resume OK.

Im hoping its something simple and I dont have to RMA this yet again because that was a nightmare!

I'd say that either you have a memory stick that's going bad or a HD that's going south.
You need to list your system spec's in your signature so myself and others will know just what hardware you have and please be complete and if OC'd please list CPU speed and VCORE.

System is not OC'd. The error I am getting is a solid black screen prior to any BIOS screens. It looks like a basic DOS screen. Im not even getting a post screen. It's immediate as soon as it is powered on. When I reset I get the poast screen with the BIOS logo in the top left & the MemOK message at the bottom.

I laready ran a RAM test & HD test and all comes back clean.

here are the specs.

AMD FX 8350 (Stock)
Corsair Platinum 1866 (32GB)
WD 1 TB Black
EVGA Nvidia 660 GTX OC SC FTW (x 2)
Corsair AX1200 Power Supply
Asus Blu Ray
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

What program did you use to test the RAM and HD?

Also which ports are you using for your HDD and optical drive?

What version BIOS are you running? If you're running an older BIOS, try updating to the latest one. Then when your update is complete, proceed to doing a clear CMOS.

I think 1 & 2. Not the Asmedia ports.

OK so I figured out the problem.

My BIOS is set to boot first from CD/DVD. Well I had left my old Crosshair CD (OG Crosshair) in the drive and apparently it has something on it that causes it to try & load, hence the error.

Simply removed the CD, rebooted and what do you know... its fixed!

So i have changed my boot sequence to make sure it doesnt happen again.

Thanks for the help guys!
