    Hi HalloweenWeed, hi cx-ray
I know the value of my DDR (XMP says exactly what you say), but perhaps I was a bit imprudent to exasperate those timings, simply trusting the performance indicated by MEMTweak .... and the fact that if the memory had become critical ... would give me a BSOD 0x50 etc. .... so I guess you hit the problem: tomorrow will check on everything you and cx-ray told me and I hope to resolve, but now in Italy it's time to go to sleep. Thanks to all and a great forum! good night.

Hi, I think my i7 3930K also don't like 46x multiplier, so I back off to 45x and I don't have a single freeze or BSOD after that. Maybe my i7 3930K like it on even and odd number, just my thought.

    Hi guys, hi HalloweenWeed,
sorry for the delay on the results of the work, but were required dozens of trials ... with dozens of Freeze and BSOD 101, with results that seem to me crazy! I remember the first, my stable settings to be changed and then I go in order of suggested changes:
    @ Vcore offset +0.040 V ..... min 0.88 max 1.368 V.
    VTT-Vccsa @ V 1.125
    PLL 1.825 volts @
    multipl. @ 45X
    FSB @ 102.3
    CPU clock @ 4604
    Memory clock @ 2191
    Member timing 9-11-10-24-1t
with this settings LINX-IBT @ 162-169 Gflops and mem.BW 55GB/sec, all is OK.

    1° change:
    multipl. @ 46x
    @ Vcore offset +0.050 V ..... min 0.90 max 1.384 V.
    VTT-Vccsa @ V 1.25
    FSB @ 100.0
    CPU clock @ 4600
    Memory clock @ 2133
Result ... FREEZE immediately after boot.
    2 ° change:
    multipl. @ 46x
    @ Vcore offset +0.050 V ..... min 0.90 max 1.384 V.
    VTT-Vccsa @ V 1.25
    FSB @ 100.0
    CPU clock @ 4600
    Memory clock @ 1600
Result ... FREEZE immediately after boot.
    3 ° change:
    multipl. @ 46x
    @ Vcore offset +0.050 V ..... min 0.90 max 1.384 V.
    VTT-Vccsa @ V 1.25
    FSB @ 100.0

Result ... FREEZE immediately after boot.
    4 ° change:
    multipl. @ 46x
    @ Vcore offset +0.050 V ..... min 0.90 max 1.384 V.
    VTT-Vccsa @ V 1.25

    Memory clock @ 1600
    Member timing 9-11-10-27-2t
    PLL 1.875 volts @
Result ... FREEZE immediately after boot.
    5 ° change:
    multipl. @ 46x
    Vcore maintenance. @ 1.385 V.
    VTT-Vccsa @ V 1.25
    FSB @ 100.0
    CPU clock @ 4600
    Memory clock @ 1600
    Member timing 9-11-10-27-2t
    PLL 1.875 volts @
Result ... FREEZE immediately after boot.
    6 ° change:
I go back to my old setting but ...
    @ Vcore offset +0.060 V ..... min 0.93 max 1.394 V.
    multipl. @ 46x
    VTT-Vccsa @ V 1.125
    FSB @ 101.0
    CPU clock @ 4645
    Memory clock @ 2177
    Member timing 9-11-10-24-1t
    PLL 1.825 volts @
    .results.................workssss finally !
    7 ° change:
    @ Vcore offset +0.060 V ..... min 0.93 max 1.394 V.
    multipl. @ 47X
    VTT-Vccsa @ V 1.125
    FSB @ 101.0
    CPU clock @ 4750
    Memory clock @ 2177
    Member timing 9-11-10-24-1t
    PLL 1.825 volts @
result ... finish the boot, works with 165 Gflops but after 4 ° steps
of LINX get a BSOD 101.
I think that requires most Vcore but with the previous test are
    already with critical temperatures cause my air cooler .. (. ° C idle 32 - load ° C 73).
Do not intend to indulge beyond a request for Vcore and I am satisfied with
    a CPU mem @ @ 4650 and 2177 with LINX that from 162.5 Gflops in 12.3 min.
However strange that the problem was only 0.01 volts less and that all other
settings are irrelevant also the clock and timings of memory, and especially because @ 45X
cpu clock but with nearly equal to 46x obtained, the CPU does not need to increase the Vcore!
    What do you think?
    Sorry for the lengthy explanatory.
    Grazie to all.

    salve Sandro,
There is nothing wrong W/setting your Bclock (CPU clock) to 101. Everything should work fine like that. You seem to have an odd CPU. I'm glad you found a working setting for you. It may be that you can't go to 4.7, I just had a BSOD (101) yesterday when playing a game at what I thought was a stable 4.7; I have dropped back down to 4.6 myself. I flirted W/4.8, but it needed much more Vcore than my cooler will handle. That may be the case for my 4.7 as well, I just don't know yet. Since it takes weeks to tell, I may just keep at 4.6 myself; I would rather drop a multi than risk the occasional BSOD/lockup. So I hope your setting is stable long-term, if not you may need to add more Vcore. Even custom water-cooled loop people don't get much more than 5.0GHz. Makes me wonder, is it worth all that extra effort and money to get that extra 8.7% core speed increase, especially considering that doesn't make an 8% performance increase? In my opinion, no, it is not worth it. Well good luck to you, and please update your situation once in awhile.

    Hi HalloweenWeed,
I fully agree with you, absolutely not worth it ... well, maybe this summer, when my room temp will rise from the current 26 to 36 provided, of course I'll have to go down again @ 4500 ... but it was a nice experience to see the influence ... or non influence..... of various parameters, especially those of memory and as you saw, and as Nodens, as I suspected they are the most critical.
Thanks anyway for your help and advice. Until the temperature will allow me I will enjoy this clock!
    Hello and see you soon

    Hey Sandro,
I just noticed something I missed before in your settings report:
    Advanced menu.
    CPU power management submenu:
    CPU ratio: 45x

This may have been your prob W/4.6GHz. CPU ratio there, on that menu, should be set "auto."
Only adjust CPU ratio on the "by all cores" menu.

If that doesn't work, I came up with an idea: Bclock strap 125. You would set:
    Extreme Tweaker menu:
    Ai Overclock tuner: manual
    CPU Level up:
    Turbo ratio: By all cores
By all cores (can adjust in OS): 36x
Bclk freq: 100 (default stock speed) 100
    CPU Strap: 125

And leave all other settings as is (set CPU ratio: auto; in the CPU power management submenu). This is 4.5GHz.
Then if stable raise your multi ("By all cores") to 37, to make 4.625GHz. GL.

    Hello HalloweenWeed,
first of all thanks for the warning.
I immediately checked on the report sent and I verifiato that the CPU power management menu was set to "Auto" and it was already before
... a mistake on my report! Then I followed your last instructions:
    Extreme Tweaker menu:
    Ai Overclock Tuner: manual
    CPU Level up:
    Turbo Ratio: By all cores
By all cores (can adjust in OS): 36x
Bclk freq: 100 (default stock speed) 100
    CPU Strap: 125
of course I need adjust mem clock too, @ 2000 (other choices were 2333 and 2666 ... are impossible to use!)
but with bad results ... PC dont boot and continues to reset, ... to exit from this condition I had to power off and sw bios setup with old value.
Of course i dont tray with multip. to 37X.
    Any other suggestions?
    Hello
    sandro c.
