When i put pressure just below the space bar my screen freezes and colored vertical lines appear. This was happening about a year ago but much worse as it did it when no pressure was applied and constantly happened when trying to play games. I do have an external monitor which does not get the lines on it so it must be a connection issue right? Do you guys think that this is an easy fix that i could do? And yes i have the latest drivers installed.
It sounds like the LVDS cable that carries the video signal to the laptop display is poorly-connected or defective. It is not in a "user serviceable" area of the laptop, so it technically would void the Warranty for you to attempt a repair. However, you do not have to break any of the yellow seals that confirm the Warranty is voided to reseat or replace the cable.
it is always appear on there or when you do something than apear, if it alwys appear,i think it is the FPC problem, you should send back to asus service center, but you want to fix by youself, it is ok if you can.
