4)VID of CPU and thermal heating (low VID CPUs are hotter at 1.5V voltage than CPUs with high VID)
    5)scaling with voltage

I have no a problem get 5 GHz stable with Corsair H100. My FX love hardocre benchmarks

    And benchmarks at 1.55V
    Attachment 18296
What temps do you have at that voltage?

Okay, whats your ambient temp? Seems quite dangerously high. Isn't the max delta or tj max temp (not sure what it's called) 62 as highest?

CraZeeY: TMax for FX is 90C in die. So this is 70-72C for Coretemp at cores. So Im fine Phenom II was more sensitives at temps with very high clocks (u must had it under 60C in Coretemp, the best was around 55C, because after u know CPU was limited, not temps)

note:for AMD CPUs Im interesting since 2006, first steps I got from Chew* at XS and few others

I just have a quick question. Are the settings that are shown in the guide Valid for a Crosshair V Formula? Not the Z one.

Welcome, Metalhead. to the ROG Forum!

OC'ing the Formula and Formula-Z is pretty much the same... depending on your specific CPU and RAM you may need some adjustments to those values... - in the Crosshair section is a guide for the Crosshair v Formula (non-Z) too...

Thanks for the answer, I have the same CPU as in the Guide, AMD FX 8350. RAM - Kingstone HyperX Blue 1600Hhz. I think it should be pretty much the same.

Oh okay. I followed this guide and past prime95 at 1.49 volts (lower didnt work) but when I try to play something it freezes (the entire comp) after a couple of minutes. When I reset the clock it works fine, anyone know what this might be?

test not only PRIME (I dont like PRIME95 with FX series), example OCCT (some form last version) or AMD Overdrive stability test for 30minutes or 1h.
