I have a question concerning asus matrix platinum. Near crossfire there is a switch called sw1. Whats it for?
M7H / Matrix 7970 P (flashed to R9 280x Matrix P) + 2 x DELL U2713HM / i7 4790k + h100i push&pull / 3 x Kingston 3k SSD 120GB / 1 x Corsair ForceGT 120GB / TridentX 2400 2x8gb / Corsair Graphite 600t case + AX1200i + NZXT IU01 + Bitfenix USB3.0 internal adapter

According to this review: LINK it's to allow 6 monitor output.

Take note that ASUS also has a BIOS switch, but it it not a BIOS switch. It changes the vBIOS display output functionality allowing for a 6-way Eyefinity setup (2 single links) or a 5-way (single link and dual link). Differences in display resolution will occur to the DVI ports under this configuration.

It's changing the behaviour of left-most DP and DVI (marked red in the picture above).
