I'm new here and glad to be here. I've really tried to search the forums and google / youtube. I'm not a noob to forums. I previously owned a G50 or 55. I'm not 100% sure but it was orange and back in like 2008/9 it was an awesome machine.

Well now I've picked up the G75VX and besides a space bar squeak which I fixed and a weird issue at start up its been a great machine.

Now it was pre-programed Win 8 and it is stock besides the extra 8gigs of memory I'm about to put it

So my question is if these are supposed to be able to be "turbo boosted" to 3+ gigs then why can't I figure it out. I've been in bios and saw nothing.

I am not sure if I need a program like NTune which I tried and crashed my computer and had to reformat and reload.

Where is this turbo boost thing and I do know that it has adequate cooling and hardware/ software.

Edit: learned that it overclocks itself when needed.
