So basically whenever I try to install a new driver with the ares ii i get either a lockup or an install failure. Awesome. I will be wild if you can only use Asus drivers, aka a one time release I'm sure.

i think i read somewhere you can only use the ASUS video drivers for the card. It is that unique.

I had the same issue when i got my ares II i know this is an old post but im gonna put my 2 cents in anyways. the way i fixed it was uninstall all the drivers, and that some how deleted everything that had to do with my video drivers which ran me into a brick wall, my computer didnt detect my video card, so i then had to download the video drivers from the windows website otherwise you would have to do a system restore or install to fix the issue to get your original drivers working, after all the issues were fixed i could install the ati drivers for the ares ii which unfortunately ran me into the same issues i had in the first place.

Asus needs to update the drivers and do it quick, the ares ii card is having many MANY crossfireX issues where games dont utilize it and these are games such as crysis 3, sc2... as well there is many fragmenting and glitches with the gard, MSAA x8 does not work for crysis 3 infact it almost crashes the game because of how glitchy it is...

i was researching to buy one but they sold out before i acted. I had the spare intake fan spot and everyhting ready. this is the first time i have heard problems with them. They are like propreitery video cards using ATI technology.

Fatbeardbag> I wouldn't loose any sleep over not having a Ares II compared to a paired of 7970's Xfired. The performance difference between the ARES II and a pair of 7970'S Xfired isn't really all that much, the biggest difference between the Ares ii and a pair of Xfired 7970's is COST ! 😞
