Hi, i have almost 2 years custom build

Maximus IV Extreme, P67 B3
AHCI
2600 Processor
8 Gb Memory
560i GTX
Thermalright CPU cooler
Win7 Home Prem, 64bit

almost 2 years running fine, then suddenly cannot boot with debug code 06 [microcode loading]

cannot enter BIOS, DEL did not work
cannot start with safe mode, F8 did not work

it just showing type of BIOS as usual at the beginning and then AHCI and then blank/black, with keyboard did not work [DEL and F8]. Change keyboard also did not work.

Someone can help me figure it out what's wrong?

Have you tried clearing cmos, by powering down & removing the board's battery for about 5 min or so ...
... what bios are you running ...

already CMOS, did not work. the comp stopped at "ASUS Republic of Gamer" red page.

Oh ya, I did not notice what BIOS i am running, since I buy the board just to use it, not to overclock it or play around with it, hope that it will last longer but it doesn't.

should i return the board for service to ASUS?

if I return the board for service, should i deliver the board only or with my own CPU attached?

Please help to do once "CLRTC" setting

please simply the hardwad devices(only installed cpu,memory 1pcs graphic card and power supply) before do once CLRTC...

Looks like there is 16 bios versions for the M4E - which of the 16 versions you are running now, might help to troubleshoot ...
... might be worth re-flashing to a different version ??

If you do return the board for service - return the board only, just as you originally received it; remove the CPU, RAM, ect ... ...

thanks guys...

already return the board and receive a copy one.

still, debug code 06 in the new board... i think there is some other hardware problem.

oh ya, when i looked at the board when it is running [with blank screen], the cpu LED is green, memory LED is green, PCI-E LED is yellow and the last LED is positioned next to 24 pin EATX Power connector is RED.

What is that RED LED means?

*its the QLED VGA that has RED light. My VGA dead?

Finally, I formatted the drive C and re-installed the OS again, and my PC works just fine.

It was a virus or maybe a VGA driver failure.
