Rive restart problems
Hey.
I am new to this forum must say good looking forum.
recently i have restarts problems with my rampage iv extreme when i click restart on windows its rebooting and stuck on black screen and nothing happens tried to wait a couple of minutes and nothing i have to restart my whole pc to make it back to work this thing happens really rarely like ummm...2-3 times in 2 weeks?can anyone tell me what is that?i am starting to worry about having a bad motherboard..i have 3930k,rive,16gbram..i have overclocked to 4.5ghz and its stable...
can anyone suggest me what to do?
P.S i am using the latest bios version.

Hey there!
When the PC hangs is it hanging on any part of the boot process....is there a q code displayed on the debug LEDs or is it hanging passing to windows
or is it booting OK and you simply have no display?
Does this happen if you run at stock....no OC....?
Can you list your exact specs (makes models...no of kits of RAM) might give someone a clue...

Well the thing is i don't know the debug code because i always forget to look...i mean when i click restart in windows its restarting after that(when pc trying to boot) it stuck on black screen(no display) but the pc is still working...i have to restart by clicking the button on my case and then it boots fine...

Hmm it's difficult to guess...best thing would be to check the MB if it happens again to see if it is hanging somewhere...
Check Q code or board LEDs
If the MB cycles cleanly through the various numbers to AA and you have no display it might be a graphics driver problem or some such and not a boot problem...
