new rig keeps on freezing when installing particular software

Hi guys,

i just got my new rig few days ago and it keeps on freezing. my system specs are:

-Maximus IV Extreme-Z
-i7 - 2600k
-Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
-Cooler Master GX 750W
-Noctua NH-D14
- Asus GTX 580 Direct CU II

it freeze when i trying to update bfbc2 patch.it also freeze when i installing microsoft office. and i will get to blue screen with errors. do you think is the ram problem?

I'm not sure about the specific software but if it is a RAM problem then you should be able to find it by running memtest86.

The corsair ram is usually pretty solid. What SSD/HDD are you using? and are you overclocking anything? Are there any other cards in the pci slots other than the gtx580?
