Your request is just a bit vague, if your asking where the connection is on the MB it would help quite a bit if you were to state which MB you are working with !
If you have a Crosshair V Formula-Z then you'll have to get a PCI-e or a PCI card for the 1394 connection because the MB doesn't have one. The 1394 is rather outdated tech, USB 3.0 has a much faster transfer rate.
