G74SX Bluray drive

I just purchased SimCity. Popped in the disk and nothing. (running windows 😎 tried to locate my bluray drive and was unable. Went to disk management and saw the error that's in the attached photo. Any ideas of how to fix it?

Try deleting the device in the interface there and reboot. When Windows restarts it will detect the device and reload the drivers from scratch.

Ok I tried that and the error keeps coming back. I also tried searching for drivers with no luck at all. Maybe I'm not searching correctly. I keep only finding drivers/firmware for sony and Panasonic laptops.

Check out http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/code-19-error.htm. Item #3 in this article (deleting the UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry values in the CD/DVD Drive registry key) is a common solution to media read problems.
