K73S gt540m replacement - upgrade

Hello,
I have a 'K series' K73sv - TY036 laptop.... i3-2310m
The situation is my GT540m 1gb is starting to give up its showing artifacts when playing games and heating is not a problem ..... and warranty is off .

If So I want at to replace my 'gt540m' and if so... upgrading to a higher perfomance graphics card....if possible

I'm not sure what you might be able to use for an upgrade but it might be worth repasting it. Even if the GPU core isn't overheating, some of the other components could be.

I think it could be the ram as I have been using a little overclocking on games...
where and how can I find out what type of gpus fit my ASUS K73sv motherboard

:confused:What I want to find out is do any of the newer GPU's have compatiblity with my 'K73sv i3' motherboard ...
in regards to 'Mobile PCI Express Modules'

that is does any one know or direct me in finding out , before I go ahead and buy an upgraded GPU...
