i`ve got the same problems. sometimes it takes about 1min to get to the win7 login screen.

    my specs are:

    Win7 Pro
    Phenom 2 x955
    CH5F
    16GB Kingston HyperX
    256GB Crucial M4 SSD
    300GB HDD
    ATI FirePro v8800

    2x external HDD (500GB/2000GB) usb 2.0
1x 60GB C300 ssd covered in icy box usb 3.0

This is kind of weird,... cause my old system (AM2+) has sarted a lot faster, with USB devices plugged in.
once everything is loaded, its fast! But on its way through, it sucks!

    sorry for my poor english
Can you unplug the devices one by one and find out which device is causing you a long delay.

Once you find out which it is, I will need the full model and part number (and revision number if it has one).

I ve unplugged all devices no the result is nearly the same. the CPU fan error subjoined itself. When I disable the usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports in Bios, the system starts up in no time. But this should not be an option.

One of the tech guys will jump in here...but,
I think this is in the bios sata setup....
during the hang is the hard drive light..
(on the 4 panel near power input, not yellow,hd is active lower light)
id check bios under advanced...then boot..
sounds to me like its look'n hard to see what to boot.
until i did this on the first board..it would sit red forever.c.

Typical UEFI POST~boot is about 20 seconds or so I think. If that is the time, then what you have happening there is normal. Time it to Windows loading and let me know how long it takes.

To sort the fan error do this:

I solved the Fan error with installing a DC fan and ordering some new wing boost fans. I hope this will do its job. I `ve found out that disabling the usb 3.0 ports speeds things up and any sort of usb 2.0 device slows things down. Non of the LEDs are red and the primary bootdvice is my 256 ssd nothig else is set. I`ve got an anoying message at startup like " asmedia......using pcie gen 2....can`t find any device" or something like that. now i will catch the time.

    O.K. 20sek. to silly Asmedia message > 25sek. to POST screen ( i think ) > 10sek. POST screen 35 sek. till windows login

You can disable the ASMedia controller if you have no drives attached to it.
