Oddly enough, just powering on my computer it does usually take about 15 to 20 seconds to get into windows. Restarting however takes forever.

Will I be able to use the USB 3.0 and eSATA ports after disabling the ASMEDIA thing?
If not this option doesn`t make any sense. 1.5 min. to boot is to long for a "high end board". cut back functionality is no sign for quality.
sry but I am a little bit disapointed

If one of those drives are not power at boot it will cause a delay. If you want performance you don't slow it down with external device.

    Unhappy Same problem

Well, im using the last bios version 1704 if im not wrong.

    I got the V Formula Crosshair with a Phenom II 1075T x6, 4 x Corsair Vegeance ddr3 1600.

When i turn my pc on, he shows the ROG screen, and it stays there for about 1 minute.

Then he beeps, show some white text and show the ROG screen again, but the second one i can use the "del" to enter setup and change things, and it goes away fast.

Anyone can tell me why it takes 1-2 min to get away from the first screen and why it shows 2 times the screen ?

Probably some kind of device detection.

Here's an idea if you don't want to keep tearing your hair out. Why not use S3 resume? No more waiting for crazy BOOT times...
