Need help activating the second hard drive bay in G75

My G75 came with only one hard drive installed and would like to know how to activate the second hard drive bay. I tried just plugging a hard drive into to for kicks to see what I got, which was nothing. Thanks for any help in advance.

have you initialized your hdd in disk management?

also, check your bios in the security tab. there should be an option where it can enable / disable the second hdd.

Can HDD detect in BIOS? if yes, please into device manager to check HDD is it display 2th HDD and correct model name, if yes again, activate at disk management.

it should automatically detect your hdd when you put one.
i did not do anything with the bios when i got my 2nd hdd.
but for the sake of making sure you can check it as well.

It did recognize it in BIOS, just had to activate it in the Disk Management. Thanks for the help!

Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Disk Management

I get there by Right Clicking This PC/Manage/Disk Management.
