ASUS AI Suite for Windows 8?

Will there ever be an AI Suite for Windows 8? The Windows 7 version still won't install on Windows 8 and has not been updated in over a year. Asus Update does install a small version of it but its not the entire suite. EZ Update is broken.

I also see a major lack of drivers specific for Windows 8 too. I don't even know if I need to update anything (like the LAN drivers for one, I remember the first first they posted would bluescreen Windows 7 lol). Anyone know if the newest Intel LAN drivers work good with this board from the Intel site? Any other drivers I should be looking for outside of video?

I am playing a new release game that is very finicky with computer systems. I need to be "bleeding edge up to date" to run it properly.

This is for the Crosshair V Formula motherboard. AMD FX8950 with 16 GB Corsair Dominator RAM (CMP16GX3M2X1866C9). RaptorX HDD (yea I am slow to adopt SSD). Radeon HD 6950. LG Flatron monitor (W2252TQ). LG 24x DVD Rewriter (need to check for firmware for this, haven't yet).

Trust me, my friend. You not being able to install AI Suite is a good thing. That software causes more problems than any other program. You're better off without it.

As for drivers, apart from the video drivers, I'd also update the Chipset drivers too.

You dont want to be running AI Suite. Your nic is easy to update, you can d/l something from intels site and it will get the correct driver for you. Your most recent asmedia drivers can be found here http://www.station-drivers.com/ - Firmware updates at your own risk. What release game are you talking about that you need "bleeding edge up to date" I just want to know for the lawlz

you shouldnt update drivers unless your having a problem with it.

I see two people here saying to stay away from AI Suite. There are definitely parts of it which do not work correctly, even under Win 7. I would love to have something as reliable as the old Motherboard Monitor to keep track of voltages, temps, and fans. Speed Fan does not really fill the bill.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, sectionate and theoneandonlymrk. I'm getting things worked out with HWiNFO. It is flexible, with lots of choices.....so many it takes a while to figure them out. But that's a good thing.

Pleased you have found a solution. I am not a fan of AIsuite and do not suggest to anyone to install it. I am sure it works just fine for many people. But I do not like it.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

I have to agree. The ROG version is a big step backward from the previous one. More than one "feature" of it was unusable for me because of the errors caused. The Sensor panel also has regular temporary freezes which leave un-refreshed white borders. I am happy to be rid of it.
