This makes me wonder what could be achieved with an AMD setup (pinched the pic off the web somewhere)

It already has a nice big backplate, maybe get some results by just aiming a fan at it.
To do this would bother me as I have had the side of my case painted, but for my next case, I'm certainly going to look into it

    Great work Sandro

Hi Granger, thank you for your attention,

yes I think that even in this case, this change could be applied without difficulty, perhaps (judging from the picture) using the copper plates smaller that mine but installed horizontally to the plate of this socket with the same precautions and the same thermal pads and the same fan.
It has to work just as well.
    greetings

    Hi Detleg,

I'm sorry for my English a little stunted species of translating, but first of all I do not understand that it means "N00b here" with which you start typing.
Me too, until a month ago and for years I used a Noctua NDH14 without any Mod, (only with fans of more efficient and less silent).
As for your question I refer you to my answer # 9 on this same tread, where I explain why those who made me your own question.
I have not heard of your hardware, but if is what shows following the link you provide with CPUZ, where I see that you run your Cpu @ 4700 with 1,472 Volt Core, I'm sorry, but I just so hard to think that you can do this with a single Noctua NDH14, if for more than 60sec. ,or slightly more, certainly not for use 24/7 ......but if so, I'm curious to know your BIOS setup, after which throw away all of my "junk" and I will adopt it immediately!

    Greetings from

    Hello Detleg,

I'm happy to contact a German guy... for the first time on this forum,
i am closely tied to Germany because I worked for a German company for 23 years (in Italy) but I had hundreds times for training courses with them in Frankfurt and in Kiel ... but I know of only a dozen words in German language.
Regarding your overclock you can settle for someone like my @ 4600 ...better yet @4500 for 24/7 use stable enough, for our cooler air.
If you need to know my setup, bios gladly send them to you, although I'm sure you're good alone.
About my Mod. to our cooler (not sure if you read my reply # 9), however, if I had to do a new assembly, certainly would buy a liquid cooler.

    greetings
    sandro c.
