Yep, both parts are headed to the shop tomorrow. A friends place would be uber convenient, but all the ones who like PC gaming/hardware are all in far away places. lol.

Please see my update, folks. I have a working board, but it is missing its EMF shield and there were bent fan header pins. After now having gone almost a month without a working 'real' computer, I am done RMA'ing boards unless this one goes belly up. Heck, I would be happy to give Asus a CC number and them send me a brand spanking new board, and I'll send this one back (EVGA does this, I think) as I cannot be down again for almost two weeks waiting on a working board with all of the pieces attached and working. Ugh.

Thank you HiVizMan, I have sent a PM to cl-albert. I really, really hope I can get this worked out without having my computer MIA for almost two more weeks, and countless hours of assembly and dissassembly of my rig. :-(

Will do and thanks again for everything. I have just heard back from Albert and Shawn and have sent them both of my RMA #s along with the problems with both boards. I am assuming they'll see the pic of the missing EMF shield here on this thread.
