G75VW Dvd Rom Driver?

Hi

I clean instaled my asus with a fresh windows 8 version. But my dvd rom is not recognized and i can´t the. dvd drivers on the asu website. Can anybody help.

no, actually you don't need to get any driver for your dvd rom. if your laptop has stock w8, disable secure boot and enable launch csm in the bios then try again.

Can you plz tell me how i disable safeboot and how i can launch csm? I dont have a clue 🙂

@sexxmax, on boot (when ROG POST screen shows up), spam f2 key until the bios menu is shown. then check the tabs for the options.

yeah i know but i have to ask him to do that because i am not sure if the options affected that 😕

there is one more thing in the bios which is i/o interface security > ODD. it might be good to take a look.

finally, it might be useful to unplug and replug in the ODD 😕

what is your BIOS version? is it not recognized after install win 8? win 7 is no problem?
