Hi samarth :-)I would personally go with the best single card you can get first and only then if money and space etc. allows go Xfire or SLI. So I'd check for offers on the 7970 or 78xx...

I personally like my Nvidia. I also do agree that one card is better then 2 lesser cards.

gtx 670 ftw edition? Two of my buddies have them, one has them in SLI. They seem to be pretty happy with their performance

in around june, mid/end theres coming out new GPU's. 760, 770 and 780 from nvidia.
they start releasing them end of may, but dono when they are ariving the stores.
if you want to save up some money and buy one of them or go whit the one you sugested, then go for it.

If you are using 1 monitor only, I would suggest 1 single more powerful card... Crossfire/sli doesn't improve the quality of the graphics, but there may be an increase in fps.
