Hello,

Can anybody shed some light on this matter because its driving me crazy know and I've kind of run out of ideas, answers and fixes. I bought a new soundcard to replace my old soundcard. As there is only one PCIe x1 port available the soundcard can only go in one place. What is happening is the soundcard keeps disappearing from Device Manager as though it isn't installed and there is no power to the PCIe x1 port.

The soundcard software is saying that there is no soundcard installed or its disabled...? It is neither. This is trying my patients now and its late and I'm up early tomorrow. The only other thing I can think I can do is use a PCIe x16 instead which should work. Although, there's the problem with PCIe x1 which has a fault for some reasonand its stopped working. I really don't understand why this isn't working when it was when I first installed the soundcard.

Any ideas would be very appreciated. Because its got me on this one, bigtime.
