I'm trying to figure out which monitor to buy, advice would be great thank you. Please post you're reasons as to why and if you own the monitor please do tell about how it performs especially for gaming. Thank you!

ASUS VG248QE

or...

BenQ XL2420T

or Any other monitor that will beat these two in gaming performance?

Thank you for your help!

I have the BenQ XL2420TX and it is a beautiful monitor. You really couldn't go wrong with it. I also have the ASUS VG278H which isn't the same as your QE but I've not seen the QE in action. I'd say between my monitors the BenQ has better picture quality but it's also over $100 more than the ASUS you're considering, if I'm not mistaken. I probably wouldn't notice the difference in the ASUS if the BenQ wasn't right next to it so I'm not sure I have a simple answer for you.

When did he say he was a professional gamer? As of this moment he has posted twice and neither of them mention pro gaming or contain any spam.

Well I don't want to be a random xD. I am not a professional gamer by any means, but I love having whatever I can to to have the edge or look amazing. This community seems great but I still have my 2007 MacBook to game on :P, s until I get in the action(When I get the 780 and new RoG boards), I won't be able to comment much. The Monitor will be my first buy and then a few months later I will order everything.

If you have a less budget ASUS VG248QE , because it's cheaper than BenQ XL2420T.

Haven't had the chance to try an Asus screen yet, but I did have some bad luck with a 19" BenQ several years ago, it went back to be fixed under guaranty 3 times before I threw it away in a mad fit and went out and bought a Samsung (which has been running flawlessly for nearly 5 years now 🙂 )

Well, I went ahead to buy the XL2420T. I like very much, and I understand TN panels don't have the best color reproduction, but I like it very much and I'll mess around with the setting to get good colors. The input lag and response time are great and I don't notice it.
