G55 Bricked

Hello,

I was attempting to set my bios to boot from dvd and when I saved the bios and rebooted, my dvd drive would not boot first. So I attempted to get into the bios again to check the settings and I couldn't get the bios screen to come up on boot.
I then did a hard power off and after that when I tried to power up the laptop, the ROG screen would briefly flash, the keyboard would light up and then all would go black with the exception of the power light.
I've tried the battery out and holding the power button for 30 seconds thing and that didn't work.
I also tried the ctrl home power combo to do an emergency bios flash, but that doesn't seem to work either. The system just shuts back down.

Anyone have any suggestions or instruction for the G55?
Lots of G45 and G75 stuff, but not much specific to the 55.

This laptop is only 6 weeks old, so I do have warranty if needed.

Thanks.

1) Win 7 or 8?

2) Can you access the BIOS at all by pressing F2 at startup?

3) Did you continue to hold down CTRL+HOME on the startup attempt to initiate the Crisis BIOS Recovery?

Windows 8
No, I can't access the bios using F2, that was my initial issue.
I held the CTRL and Home keys on startup and that did not work.

I'm also smelling burnt circuit board, I think this is going back first thing in th emorning.

Yep - You're SOL (as they say in the biz) for any type of software solution.
