I'm looking for a watercooler so I can overclock my FX-8350 but in a month or two, I'll be upgrading to an i7-4770k and a Maximus VI Extreme and I want to keep the watercooler. Do I have to wait and buy a watercooler for the LGA 1150 socket, or will an LGA 1155 socket watercooler work?

The hole distances are the same 75mm so that means that your 1155 and 1156 coolers will work.

Umm are you looking for one for the fx, or the 4770? they use different latching systems. one for the amd will not work for the 4770, not without changing the latches.

Depending on the cooler, it will most likely have brackets for both AMD and Intel CPU's 🙂
