Rampa III Gene HUGE Vdroop ....

Hi,

I've been owning RE3 and currently a M4E-Z.
I bought 3months ago a Gene3 in order to start a new mod project but did'nt had a processor at the time to test it. Last week, finally, came a i7-970 in and i started to do some bench and came to the conclusion that this board has HUGE Vdroop..
Those Vdroop make it impossible to achieve nice overclock which is completely unacceptable (in my opinion) for a ROG mainboard.
Let me show you what is going on :

Here : Jumper set to LLC enabled (I tried both positions with the same results).

Here : VCore Voltage Idle
CPU-Z report : 1.28v / Turbo Evo 1.3v / Sensors (Asus) 1.27v

Here : VCore Voltage Load
CPU-Z report : 1.232v / Turbo Evo 1.3v / Sensors (Asus) 1.217v

As you can see there is a HUGE Vdroop, which is kind of unbelievable for a ROG mainboard.

My BIG question, is this a faultly board or do i need to live with it ?

Any opinion appreciated,

I also got V drop on my R3G so it seems we need to live with it
