Nice that the ramdisk works with the Maximus V Formula. Jury's still out whether it improves scores.

    Hmmm, lets see:
    Test system Ramdisk 16GB
Realbench start from there (as Viz suggested), the results:
4.8GHZ, same settings as posted before, (without ramdisk)
    731-----Smiki007-----i7 3970x-----4800-----64GB/1600-----RIVE

    4.8GHZ, fully tweaked system
    741-----Smiki007-----i7 3970x-----4800-----64GB/1600-----RIVE

Conclusion: Approximately 20-35 points improvement from older testing.

5.0GHZ, same settings as posted before, (without ramdisk)
    753-----Smiki007-----i7 3970x-----5000-----64GB/1600-----RIVE

    5.0GHZ, fully tweaked system
    754-----Smiki007-----i7 3970x-----5000-----64GB/1600-----RIVE

    ************************************************** ************************************************** *********************
Test system 2x SSD Raid 0
    5.0GHZ, fully tweaked system
    756-----Smiki007-----i7 3970x-----5000-----64GB/1600-----RIVE

Conclusion: No improvement from older testing (no tweaking), neither with this tweaked system, exclusively the result from SSD is slightly (2 points), better then from Ramdisk.
But hey, I'm above the 750 mark... not bad, not bad at all.

You'll find Smiki, that once you start to OC your RAM, tweak the timings, your scores will actually get better, with RAMDisk or just SSD...haha ROG better be careful, RAMDisk may actually become a "tweak"

Nice one mate and thank you for taking the time to do the testing for me. As Myk has said once you get into the tweaks and fine tuning especially the memory you will break the 800 mark with ease.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Yeah, probably, yesterday I was tired (10 hours at work and another 5 at my PC). I'll try to do all adjustments and tweaks better, probably this saturday/sunday and will post the results.
    Cheers guys.

@meankeys I am stuck though :/ now it is just a matter of either improving my cooling or getting better ram. Maybe I'll get a chance to test faster Ram this weekend.

The only thing that we could do is start a new list where people optimize their system for every test seperatly and then average the score. Because then I could use 8Gb on very tight timings for Image editing and 16GB for Video Encoding and Multitasking at high frequencies.

That would sort of defeat the purpose of the benchmark. It is the overall score from a single run we are looking for.

What you can do though and I have done a couple times, is run ROG Connect and control CPU frequencies as the bench runs. Run CPU as high as possible, and just before encoding task #2 starts, bump bclk down a few notches. Bump back up for multitask. Oops, did I leak another tweak?

Also, multitask will reveal a weaker Memory overclock more so than the other tests in my experience with RB.

I have to say thats more of a cheat then a tweak? The tweaks we are doing are before a run not during.

F4 Thats kinda were I am my 4998 MHz OC and Memory @ 2713 is it for me once I get some help with my timings (I have no idea were to even start) I may add a few points. I am currently working on some better cooling ideas and I also plan to delid. Once I get my cooling down I hope to squeeze out a higher OC and then well we will see. This chip I have is very power hungry 1.688 v - 1.712 v for 5 GHz is a bit high I think.

Not at all in my opinion. It is a function of my system, bone stock. Any ROG mobo for that matter. Not anything anyone else cant do. Are we not testing sub-systems?

Besides, if you read what I posted, I said I did it a couple times. It is sketchy as you have to do it at right time or it will crash system. All my submitted scores we without doing this, so it dont really matter.
