    Xman,
When I get stuck at something I know it's time to take a break and try again in a couple days, Like Detleg says 830 is nothing to sneeze at
You know, it wouldnt be so bad if I had a known good IMC, and I knew it was something I was doing. But not knowing whether it is me, or this is the limit of my IMC, is what is burning me. I am leaning towards the IMC. I have tried virtually everything. I can get either tight timings with so so speed, or high speed, high latencies. No real happy medium. 2240 seems to provide most optimal memory timings to freq ratio in this system. That isnt gonna cut it in RB.

For day to day use, it is trivial. But in benching, .........well.

Hey xman, have you tried halving your RAM to see if you can push it further?

    Yup. Tried 1, 2, 3, and 4. Same result.

When the IMC hits it's max. Isn't that in pure Mhz, did not think the timings had that big of an impact.

You need to get some samsung green mem, or something else really fast. -> samsung HCH9

If you load the raw Mhz profile from bios, and just se high you can get in pure Mhz, how high can you go?

And even if you compare withsomeone thats got the exact same setup/mem, you never know which IC's the mem is actually using. They change IC's now and then and do all thy can to hide it.

Highest to date was tonight at 2395mhz, 10-12-10-28-1. One bump higher on blck and no post. At that speed and blck, cpu was at 5234mhz. I could boot into win7, but as soon as I started RB, CRASH! Was backed down to 5211 and gave up for the night.
