Can someone tell me whether or not i should go for either a thick 64mm rad with push or pull or a thinner 47mm rad with push and pull, knowing that i'll be using the corsair 120sp high performance?

Push pull with those fans you will be able to go with a thinner RAD with higher fin density.....which RADs were you thinking of?

Either a push and pull with a 480 XT (47mm) from EK or a push with a 480 XTX(64mm) from EK for the top of the corsair 900D

I have about 110mm clearance from mobo to the top of the case

OK the XT is 14 FPI and the XTX is 11FPI.....they are both low fin density and these rads in fact work better when the air is pushed through them with less force. I would say the Corsair sp 120 quiet edition would work well on both....in fact I have then in push pull on a 360 XTX and they work great. Maybe push pull on XT with SP120 quiet or one bank of the SP120 High performance on the XTX...though the quiet edition will work just as well and with less noise (if noise is a concern).

well some swear to the large rads ( ~60mm ) and some to the other ( 35~40mm ) ones.
what sort of pump did you think of? single or dual? res, tube or bay? tubing and what fittings?
fan controller?? ( unless you have one ).
