You can't compare the G55 with 17.3' G750 or G75VX.

The G55 is a far older model then G75VX and it's a 15.6' - And there is no sign of ASUS releasing a similar model to the G55 with 770M or 780M.

if they come up with models using 765m then theres no point upgrading. the marginally improvement is not worth, and if i am right, will only come with 2gb of ram instead of 670mx's having 3gb. haswell processors don't give any extra edge over ivy in gaming performance either and i would not expect ASUS to throw in a high end haswell. so all in all, just keep the g75

first of all 670mx is a better GPU then 760m (though 670mx ugh has bit lower clock speeds and that can be fixed with a bit of overclocking ). Second I really like some features of the G75vx then G750 more (like the grey aluminum oer the top and soft touch wrist rest). The only thing I do like more on the G750 is that it has a headphone amp built in, but these you can buy for like 20-30 bucks over ebay. So no worries it's a great machine. Yeah, 765m can not compete with 670MX. So basically VX is stronger than 750 with 765m card.

765m has 768 cuda cores vs 960 cores on the 670MX. EVen more important, 765m is 128bit while 670MX is 192bit memory controller.

LMAO Mehdi. You only lost if you paid the full price for the G75vx. I bought a G75vx a week ago on purpose because all the vendors had put them on sale to get rid of the excess inventory stock. I paid around $1300, which is a steal for the performance of this laptop.

Now for the 750. It's honestly not worth it unless you would get the one with the GTX 780M, and that one costs over $2000. Otherwise the improvement in games from Ivy Bridge to Haswell is non-existent. Even worse the Haswell cpus run hotter than the Ivy Bridge. And that 765M is worse than the 670MX.

Yup. So vx is better buy than the new G750, though specs of the gtx780m are awesome. But I've read on the forum that ASUS had to redesign the cooling due to its massive overheating.
