how to update nvidia drivers

I have asus g75vx 670mx but when I try to download the new 320.18 driver it says I cant so then I open NVidia experience to update but it says im at the latest update which is 314.00 but I know theres a new one so please help me.

Are you trying to use the normal release, or the m version?

Sorry the update process is difficult but posting the same question multiple times will not get you any different answers and if I were you I would post in the Laptop section....the folk there are much more likely to help or have work rounds if they exist...

It does seem though that you already found the answer to your question....you will simply have to wait for drivers to be updated since your laptop seems to have tailored versions of the drivers. This is always going to mean you will be behind the latest releases unfortunately....

I'm not at my vx right now, I'll check when I come home and let you know.


Edit i just remembered that there was an old post about nVidia drivers, maybe this fix works for you. Scroll through the thread, I wouldn't be surprised if this fix works with the latest drivers. The thread is here.

The manufacturer of this system requires that you download the driver for your GPU from their support site.

The GeForce M series and GeForce Go series notebook GPUs use drivers that have been customized by the notebook manufacturers to support hot key functions, power management functions, lid close and suspend/resume behavior. NVIDIA has worked with some notebook manufacturers to provide notebook-specific driver updates, however, most notebook driver updates must come from the notebook manufacturer. Additionally, the desktop GeForce graphics drivers will not install on Geforce M series and Quadro M series notebook GPU's

this comes up when I try to find the driver I have
