You don't need to change the back-plate on the RIVE.....just use the LGA 2011 mounting screws.....

Let's clarify things a little bit...

The "push" and "pull" therms are related to the fan setup on the radiator - if fans are pushing the air toward the radiator = "push"; when the fans are pulling away the air, that's the "pull"...

Now, if you want to describe the direction of the airflow regarding the case, you us the terms "intake" and "exhaust" - "intake" = the air goes into the case; "exhaust" = the air goes out of the case...

You don't mix these terms! It will create a big time confusion...

Regarding the original question... I like the setup, HiVizMan suggested - have the fans as intake (regarding the case) and push (referring to the radiator)... that way you can have the coolest air going through the radiator and the fans are more efficient to push the air through the radiator then if you would setup them in a pull config... (higher density rads does not like the pull config)

For this intake/push configuration, the order should be from top down: top of the case - fans (airflow direction downward) - radiator...

    Thank you very much!

Well, i hope i got the picture, but i was hoping for photos to make it more clear for me, i am not sure if i setup the cooler inside the case good, or if the case's fan is properly directed, honestly speaking, i placed the cooler radiator just under the top case's fan, that top case fan is i think is exhaust, from the picture it seems it takes the air out, so is that a right way, or i have to flip it out and let it push the air to inside rather than pulling or exhausting it out of the case?

I want to confirm that before i continue in my build, i don't want to go and undo something because of wrong setup, i still don't know what or how to setup the case fans inside the case for better performance, i just placed the radiator of the cooling on the top of case just under the case fan.

To make it little bit clear, let's use an arrow ( ^ v) as the direction of air

    ^ <----- Case's fan on top
    v <----- Cooler's fan on radiator

Is this the correct way or it should be this way below?

    v <--- Case's Fan
    v <--- Cooler radiator fan

The second way...the first way there will be no cooling!

the top case fan on the HafX is intake....you can feel the airflow with your hand....the fan will always have a sticker with name on it....this is on the back side...the direction of airflow is front to back....

the fan/fans have to blow one way ( top and bottom fans ) for the cooling effect to work.
to put it real simple, think of it like a vacume cleaner, hold for the suction part ( your first fan setup )and you cant suck up dust, take away hand and you can suck up dust ( your second fan setup ).
think about the fans that way.

No, that is the side of the fan with the sticker and therefore the back side. The air will be blowing toward the camera this way....to blow into case you have to turn it around.....

But to fit the H100 you have to take that fan off anyway....you have to fix the h100 to the holes below that fan.....

    Attachment 21628

Be careful fitting screws....make sure they are not entering the radiator and bending fins etc.

I see, so i have to flip it, and i thought this is the intake, and the diagram on Cooler Master site for this case showing that it should be this way, taking the air out, but you telling me to make it opposite direction then.

I did placed that h100i under that fan by removing the fan, i know how to do it, so now i only have to change the direction of the case top fan then.

What will happen if by mistake i entered the screws on the radiator fins and have few bends before i correct it and enter on the right screws holes?
